MANAGEMENT TEAM
R. Bruce Reeves, Ph.D. serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company. Dr. Reeves has over twenty-five years of experience in start-up ventures, and has spent over ten years in high-tech business and product development, including five years with General Electric Company on several new business development operations. Dr. Reeves has been a Principal in several high tech start-up companies and several syndicated real estate partnerships. In 1998, Dr. Reeves successfully led the acquisition of Meridian Instruments, a leading developer of laser based imaging instrumentation. Dr. Reeves subsequently sold the Meridian manufacturing assets to Genomic Systems Inc., a genomics instrumentation company.
Bruce Monk serves as Chief Technology Officer and Director. Mr. Monk has more than 20 years of senior management level experience in engineering, marketing and sales in the high technology field. Mr. Monk founded Imaging Automation, Inc. in February 1991 and until November 2000 Mr. Monk served as an officer and director. Under Mr. Monk’s leadership, Imaging Automation developed the first document recognition and authentication product. Mr. Monk leads the Company’s efforts to develop the leadership position in versatile imaging-based document authentication devices and systems. Prior to founding Imaging Automation, Mr. Monk held management, development, engineering and sales positions with Chorus Data Systems, Analogic, Sanders Associates and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Monk is a graduate of Rennselear Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Theodore Kuklinski, Ph.D. is the Chief Technologist with extensive experience in image processing, pattern recognition and OCR technologies. Dr. Kuklinski holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and a B.S.E.E. (with highest honors) from Drexel University. Dr. Kuklinski is a patent holder, author of technical articles, researcher on a number of federally funded studies and was a founder of Pencept (developer of the Penpad, one of the earliest tablet based handprint recognition systems). He was a principal of Recognitive Sciences, Inc., a development and consulting firm in the area of OCR, ICR and barcode recognition solutions. Dr. Kuklinski’s projects included work for such technology organizations as AT&T Bell Labs, American Express, CitiCorp, Imaging Automation and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
James L. “Monty” Riffer , Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing . Mr. Riffer was formerly VP of Sales & Marketing at Acadient, a business to business software developer. He previously held management positions at Geac Computers, Cantoc Business Systems, Pilot Software, and Pansophic Systems. Prior to Pansophic he spent 10 years with Polaroid in various sales management and marketing positions. Monty holds a BA and MA from Southern Illinois University in Education.
Gary Olin, Vice President, Finance. Mr. Olin has been employed by the Company since July 2005. His prior experience includes senior management positions in sales, marketing, and finance. Prior to joining the Company, he served from August 2004 until June 2005 as senior analyst and consultant with Value Advisory Group, LLC., and from October 1995 through August 2004, in various positions at Mercury Computer Systems, including Senior Business Analyst, Director Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, and Director Marketing Communications. Mr. Olin was a key member of the team that took Mercury public with its initial public offering in January 1998. As Senior Business Analyst, he provided extensive financial and valuation analysis in support of the Mercury’s corporate development team. Mr. Olin’s prior experience includes 17 years experience in various sales and marketing positions at Honeywell Information Systems and Group Bull of Paris. Mr. Olin served 7 years in the United States Army as a computer systems specialist developing and testing systems for Army Intelligence, Communications, and Information Systems. He has an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and a BA in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Richard G. Search, Director, Partner and Training Services. Mr. Search is a 35-year veteran in the computer industry. He has held executive positions in hardware and software engineering, product management, marketing and sales in Fortune 100 corporations, as well as emerging firms. Prior to joining AssureTec Systems, Richard was SVP/VP of Marketing & Product Management at McDATA Corporation, DotHill Corporation and Hitachi Data Systems, where he provided the leadership in designing and implementing new product and marketing strategies, successfully growing revenues and increasing market recognition and penetration of existing and newly introduced product lines. Previously, Richard spent 13 years at Digital Equipment Corporation where he was VP of Storage Solutions Engineering and Director of Product Management and Marketing, playing a key role in the development and successful launching of DEC’s StorageWorks product line into the open storage market, with revenues in excess of $1.6B. Additionally, Richard spent 18 years at IBM where he held numerous management positions in engineering, marketing, and sales. Richard holds a B.S. from Penn State University.
