The following positions are currently available:

.NET Software Engineer

We are seeking a smart, highly-motivated and ambitious individual with two to five years of professional software development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies to join our engineering team. This individual will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the company’s AssureID product line and client applications. Additionally, this individual will serve with a small team of experts in the area of identification document authentication technology while working closely with the product development team to advance the capabilities, performance and accuracy of the software.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the AssureID product line and applications with a key focus on developing and enhancing the Assure-Alert commercially available subscription based client application.
• Work with the software engineering team to identify, prototype and implement new algorithms, techniques and best practices to improve the product’s capabilities, performance and maintainability.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle as a member of the development staff, including requirements definition, design, development, testing and release.
• Work closely with the technical staff, product management team and customers to identify new product requirements.
• Write and review functional and technical specifications.
• Work and communicate with a diverse customer base in a technical support role, when required.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Must have 2+ years of hands-on Windows software client application development.
• Excellent software design, coding and unit testing skills using Microsoft .NET/C#/C++.
• Must have experience with end user interface design and implementation using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or Windows Forms.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft .NET architecture best practices.
• Ability to synthesize and document software functional and non-functional requirements.
• Must have strong troubleshooting, problem solving and technical skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally.
• Must have experience with source code version control systems.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, very responsive and committed to quality.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Experience with web services implemented using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
• Experience with software protection mechanisms such as licensing and obfuscation.
• Experience with camera and/or scanner USB imaging devices.
• Experience with image processing and computer vision techniques used to extract information from images.
• Experience with optical character recognition (OCR) tools used to extract information from images.
• Experience with issue and project tracking systems and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a small team environment.

Education:

• BS in Computer Science or related technical field required. Relevant work experience strongly considered.
